Installation Guide

  1. Mount the charger — Fix to a post, wall, or barn using the included screws and washers in a sheltered, ventilated location.
  2. Drive grounding rods — Insert 1–3 steel rods (1.5m each) into moist ground. Poor grounding is the #1 cause of unit damage — do not skip this step.

Who Should Buy This?

The LIFEALL 9J Charger is the right choice if you:

  • Manage large cattle, horse, or livestock operations where high joule output commands animal respect
  • Face heavy predator pressure — wolves, coyotes, bears — that low-joule units cannot reliably deter
  • Have fence lines with vegetation contact that drain energy from standard energizers
  • Need flexible power — AC one season, solar or battery the next
  • Want alarm + remote monitoring so you know immediately if a fence breach occurs
  • Operate in wet or rainy climates and need a weatherproof outdoor unit

Product is junk

I would most definitely not recommend this fence charger. I had the first one quiet, so they sent me a new replacement. I haven’t had it on my poultry fence for a week, and it quit working again. When a person has as much invested in there animals and it quits, that’s a huge problem. Buyer beware this product is junk. So same mine go to TSC and purchase one, and for $25 more 3 year warranty. Don’t say I told you so do not purchase this fencer.

Nice little charger, hotter than most

Only 4 stars because it is not waterproof. You need to put it where it won’t get wet. Item shipped fast. Good packaging. I have almost 1000’ of electric netting running off of this charger. It puts out 12,000v at the charger and I measure 3,000v anywhere on the fencing. I will get this manufacturer’s larger offering and split these fences up between them so I have hotter shock protection. The camera didn’t capture the led input voltage very well… it says 12.4v is coming from the battery I have it hooked to. The more green bars that light on the output voltage, the better and hotter the shock will be.

Powerful charger

Very nice and powerful electric fence charger, we installed in 2025 for 10 acres farm lane and it working great so far, it keeps cow away from the fence… I’ll buy it again, I recommend.. make sure you install at least 15 feet of ground line with bar at lest 5 feet deep in the ground..

Worked fine initially, but suddenly died for no reason

Worked fine initially, but suddenly died for no reasonI was really hoping this electric fence charger would be a reliable solution, but it unexpectedly stopped working out of nowhere. It was installed correctly according to all manufacturer instructions with proper grounding and electrical hookups. It was kept completely dry, protected from the elements, and was never exposed to water. Despite proper maintenance and setup, the unit just completely quit pulsing/functioning without any obvious cause or warning.I also am not able to reached out to customer support to see if they can troubleshoot or honor a warranty replacement it is frustrating, I definitely as of right now, I cannot recommend this unit if you need dependable power for your fence.

I have Really Appreciated this Charger

This charger has been in service for only a few months at this point, but I am liking what I see! Hard-hitting punch has earned respect from my milk goats on my side and the neighbor cows on the other side. I'm running mine off of a lawn mower-size gel cell and a small 35-watt solar panel, and I never have to mess with it. The alarm did get disconnected on mine because I thought it was going to be a lower volume, but it turns out to be a real loud shrill alarm that will get everyone's attention! I just didn't want someone nearby to have to deal with it if it went off while I was away from home. If you had a problem animal that you really wanted to tend to for a couple of days without risk, I might use it then. It is nice to see the condition of everything just in passing as I walk by. I can hear it clicking as always with others, but the digital display tells me battery status, weed or short status, all at once with numerical readouts, not just a swinging needle that may or may not be accurate. Also, the remote control I didn't think I would have a need for has turned out to be my favorite "toy"! It's so nice to be working on the fence and turn things off from a long distance and then turn things back on to verify things. I lost my remote once temporarily, and I had to remember that I can simply unplug from one socket on the charger and re-plug into a socket that doesn't use the remote, so they thought of everything. I'm so sorry to be moving away from the USA brand chargers that I have used for over half a century but until they can make them last for 20 years the way they used to last instead of only one year and with a proud price, that's just what I'll do. Hope you're reading this, Parm**. I had one question for the company when I lost my remote control and was away from my paperwork, and they were there to reply and offer their help straightaway. That totally surprised me!

Very powerful.!!!!!

This is a beast !!!I put 3 —8 ft ground rods in ground about 8 ft apart . This charger will knock the crap out of you . My son touched it and it piped real loud and he jumped 3 feet in the air . It holds a charge through weeds . Well worth the money.I used it for goats . Had a problem with them getting out . Don’t have a problem anymore.I think this charger will keep a bear out . It’s very powerful. I have seen it arch a spark 1 inch long to ground out on a post . It sounds like a 22 riffle going off .

Company gave a full refund! WOW

Started off strong & worked great. Very powerful unit. Shortly after 30 day return window expired it stopped working. I kept it dry and protected from the weather at all times.... And still it failed within 2 months. The remote control which was a fairly important part of my project broke after 3 days, And unfortunately I was too busy and didn't feel like it was fair to send it back JUST for the remote. When I opened up the box to see why it failed and if I could fix it, I realized that the rubber seal was done installed properly from the get-go and moisture had gotten in and corroded the electronics.Update, after I posted my review, the company sent me a full refund! WOW!

You want to make your animal jump 10 feet in the air?

This KICKS like an angry draft horse! Oh man.I have one stubborn escape artist dog who showed all of my other dogs how to climb over my neighbor's fence and run around the neighborhood. I did not have this issue until one night a storm blew down the neighbor's fence. Ever since then, they found out that there's an entire world on the other side, and the one became hell bent / obsessed with escaping. We repaired the fence, and all of them got out the very next day. We reinforced the fence further, and again they got out. We put a freaking metal lid (5 feet of horizontal metal bars at the top of the fence) and they still got out (how? Because the one is a Houdini, and once he breaks through, all the other ones get hyped up and follow him! Even if they hurt themselves in the process.) We even put an extra fence up on the interior of the main fence, and he ripped that down and still got out.It was to the point where he was cutting himself and breaking his teeth just to figure out how to undo whatever new obstacle we put up. Because of all this mayhem, one of my dogs ended up getting hit by a car (he is okay but it was EXTREMELY SCARY and cost me thousands at the emergency vet), and another got kidnapped by a self-proclaimed "rescue do-gooder" who REFUSED to give him back. We had to get the police involved, and they almost had to break down his door. Another went MIA for an entire week; we had the whole neighborhood looking for him. I was so scared to let any of them out at all, but how on earth was I supposed to keep energetic intelligent working breed dogs inside the house 24/7? They need to poop and pee, and they need to run and play!Every time I'd let my dogs out to pee, within 30 seconds they would be climbing over, digging under, or tearing straight though the fence, leaping over my neighbor's tiny gate, and running in all directions. When my husband found me camped out in my neighbor's yard in the rain, waiting to jump out and yell at them when they started to escape, he said enough is enough.I knew the only thing I could do at that point was to order an electric fence. I knew that something weak was not going to stop them - they run RIGHT through invisible fencing at the highest setting and don't even flinch. Most of the electric fence boxes available on Amazon are weak, and I already knew they'd barely even tickle them. My dogs have thick skin, and even thicker skulls. VERY stubborn, VERY determined, and nearly impervious to pain. The night I installed this zapper box, I waited by the back door.. and sure enough, within a minute of letting them out, I heard a LOUD "YERP!!!!!!!" and I watched my Houdini boy projectile himself straight up and away from the fence like he was shot out of a cannon. Every single one of them tried it. They looked like they had seen a ghost. My Houdini tried it two more times after that in different spots, I suppose to make sure he wasn't dreaming. They all were sent airborne every time. Yes, yes, and yes! SUCCESS! Now my dogs are SAFE from their own devices! After a month of turning this on religiously every time they went out, they eventually stopped going near the fence completely. We stopped having to turn it on. We rarely ever turn it on now.. they respect the crap out of that fence! An added bonus is that I no longer have to worry about them trying to taunt the neighbor's dog ever again. The neighbors have a tiny little ankle biter and my dogs are huge powerhouses that were bred to hunt and kill wild boar.. so it always made me nervous seeing them taunt each other through the fence. My boys are friendly and have never had any inappropriate interactions with people or other dogs, but I know that they could quite literally eat my neighbor's dog in a split second if they really wanted to.
